OTH - Episode 15 (Life is Short)

First off let’s all be disappointed the spoiler about the shower scene didn’t come true :( Not sure what happened there. Now, onto the good stuff…

Wow. Now that was a One Tree Hill episode. Seriously. That had enough drama, serious talk and funny moments to make it feel like “home”. That was finally an episode I could watch over and over. Let’s hit the highlights:

They are really putting Brooke through the ringer with this baby huh? I’m glad though because that’s what it’s really like. And hey, Brooke is still makeup and hair perfect…not even close to how it’s like with a new baby! But I know, I know, it’s tv. At least they are obviously trying to show it’s not easy peasy. And I wanted to save this until the end but my favorite scenes of the night were with Brooke and Lucas!!! Who says you can’t be a Leyton AND Brucas fan?? They were absolutely. adorable together tonight. With Lucas asking Brooke to stay and then holding that baby while she slept and Brooke crawling up next to them. Well, it was just a “Brucas love-fest”. Simply divine scene.

As for Lucas and Lindsey. I think Lindsey is not telling Lucas everything. The relationship seemed pretty strained although Luke said they had talked a few times. I thought that was a bit weird. The scene with her giving back the key was good. Partly for the simple fact she insisted on giving back the key but I think Luke finally is getting it.

Poor Skills. I felt bad for the guy. I’m glad he manned-up and talked to them. Nothing like a little communication to fix a problem. S&J were so cute playing the Wii together.

I liked Peyton’s conversations with Skills and separately with Haley. With Skills, I got the feeling she really does love him still and she realizes it’s obvious Lucas is in love with Lindsey and she’s just giving him his space. I don’t think she’s being weak at all. In fact, I think she’s being insanely strong and mature about it. But I like how Haley challenged her about what Peyton was really in love with. And it was good to see Peyton admit it could be partly what they could have been. I don’t think that meant she’s not in love with him though.

The clown thing was weird. Comical. Especially with Haley’s reaction. But weird.

I really, really felt bad for Dan this episode. All season he’s been trying to just build that relationship with Jamie and he couldn’t even come in to the party. And that’s all Jamie really wanted. And then that last scene with Nathan. Well. That just tore me up. I was mad at Nathan! How could he walk out on that? I did not like that at all. It made Nathan look like the coldhearted guy he used to be not the Nathan we know now.

Junk and Fergie were funny this episode. The yoga pilates thing was funny. I thought the kitchen scene with everything falling out of the cabinet was hilarious. But once again, Mouth’s storyline seems quite disconnected from the main action. You could have cut every single one of Mouth’s scenes and it would have been just fine. And that’s sad because Mouth and Millicent are extremely cute together and I really like them.

Ok, I think I covered all the storylines. Great, great episode. There were so many things we were un-spoiled on and I think I actually liked that! I was totally not expecting those Lucas/Brooke scenes and it made it all worth it. Definitely best part of the show tonight!

What’d you guys think??
