OTH - Episode 9 Sympathy for the Devil Review

Wow, I LOVED this episode. Let’s ramble tonight!

Brooke and Owen were cute together. The whole Godiva, etc. thing was so very Brooke but her love of loot came back and bit her. Poor Owen got used like a dish rag. At least Brooke apologized. But not sure why she can’t date Owen AND take care of Sam. I personally think that was a bit of a stretch just to prepare her upcoming character for another romance we saw a glimpse of in the previews. And let’s talk about Julian while we’re at it!

OMG! Julian! I think I was surprised a bit about how serious Peyton and Julian were in the past. And no wonder Peyton is hesitant to tell Lucas. It’s obvious she loves Lucas and nothing can stand in the way but Lucas knows nothing and she knows him finding out is going to be drama. Why hurt the guy when it doesn’t matter anyway? Well. Lucas finds the picture and confronts Peyton! How will Lucas react to this? Only time will tell I guess.

But I love, love, love, love that Leyton got shook up a bit and that LUCAS is the one unsure of the whole thing. And hello? Julian is HOT. I thought he fit in perfectly with the rest of the cast and had great chemistry. If Lucas and Peyton weren’t so perfect for each other, I’d be all over and Peyton and Julian hook up. I mean, can you blame poor Julian for walking out after having Lucas plastered everywhere?? And he was right, I think he handled the thing with Peyton/Lucas very well. No tattle-telling and no funky moves by him. So far he is A-OK in my book.

So it looks like Brooke is going to be the lucky one (well, I mean Peyton IS lucky, she’s got Lucas) and he seems interested in Brooke and WOW, I’m really seeing good stuff on that front. Goodbye, Lucas and Owen, hello Julian! Go Brooke! How does she get all the hot guys anyway?? Lucas, Owen, Julian. Yes, one lucky girl that is.

Nathan scared the crap out of me tonight when he went through that glass. I love the parallel to his other accident but love even more that he wasn’t hurt. Jamie asking him not to play was so sweet. Poor thing. I’m going to miss watching SlamBall because it was pretty cool but I think I’m going with Haley and Jamie and being glad to breathe while he’s playing!

Sam and Jamie were pretty cute tonight. His “economics” lesson and all the jargon he picked up was funny.

So…I wonder how far down Peyton and Lucas go? How does this Brooke and Julian thing work? What happens to Owen? What’s Nathan going to do? Not sure how much we’ll get answered since next week is the concert and then the next is Chad’s episode but they are definitely serving us up some drama!
