OTH - Season 6 Episode 5 You’ve Dug Your Own Grave, Now Lie In It Review

Hey all. Sorry I didnt post this last night, but I was working on the other blog.... But, I did write it lastnight, if that counts at all. LOL..... So here it is.

So tonight was good. Not the heart-stopping ride I was expecting but it was good. Finally felt like there was actually movement in story lines instead of just setting up some. So here’s a few thoughts…

Glad the truth came out to Lindsey and glad to see she still supports Leyton. Was a little scared that was going to go down all wrong.

It was good once again to see a little bit of fire in Brooke. It’s small but there was a glimmer of hope with her and Millicent. I’m really excited to watch Brooke do what she did in all those years we never got to see but this time she’s smarter and wiser and stronger. It’s going to be good.

So Mick is her father. I doubt one person is surprised. And he’s still not grown up enough to handle it. But is Peyton strong enough to take him leaving her again?

I was honestly surprised at the GM’s offer to coach to Nathan. I was wondering how he got to this slamball thing and now it makes sense…the NBA thinks he’s too injured to play right now so he’s going to have to prove himself on a different court.

And the highlight of the episode was the Carrie storyline. My heart did stop for a second in that corn field with Jamie. I had no clue who grabbed him from the side but SO glad it was Haley. I actually really loved that Deb and Dan were the ones to save Jamie. Apart for so long yet working together in a way to keep their grandchild safe. I actually liked Deb and Dan together in early seasons and it was good to see them. In a crazy nanny, evil Dan sort of way I guess. Let’s murder someone together! Woot woot! Carrie got what she deserved and unlike Quentin I don’t feel remorse for her. I mean, I don’t like to see anyone killed but really, it was SO time for that to END. Not sure how much therapy Jamie’s going to need for that but at least he wasn’t hurt. Not sure my little heart could have taken that. I think they could have spent more time in the suspenseful part of those scenes. We basically saw it all and ruined it a bit for me. I thought we were going to be in a big hunt for Jamie for half the episode but they made it short and sweet. I think it hurt it a little bit if you ask me. Interesting to see how it gets spun to the cops. Technically Dan wasn’t threatened with his life that second time. Either they lie and say she was shot all at once or they let him off because all that had happened to him. Either way, I think Carrie’s dead and THAT is a good thing. End of Nanny Carrie’s storyline. Finally.
