Wow, tonight surprised me. I figured not much was going to happen but I was really happy at the end. I finally felt like we got a drama filled episode and not a soap-opera filled episode. Now, I love me some high drama. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve enjoyed the first three eps immensely. Some of the best we’ve ever had. So I thought tonight would pale in comparison but it was really, really good.
It was good to see the same shrink again LOL. It was just enough to push Brooke in the right direction. I liked seeing some spunk back in Brooke again. I can’t believe the audacity of Victoria. Hardly caring that she’d been hurt and almost in the same breath tell her about her parents failed marriage and that Brooke was a mistake. I think Brooke finally saw the light with her mother. That Brooke wasn’t the unlovable, broken one she always thought she was..that Victoria has the issues and I love the line at the end Brooke gives about Victoria getting her dreams.
Still not sure I’m believing this whole Skills/Deb thing. I can see they make each other happy but I don’t know. It’s weird. Not as creepy but I’m with Nathan..fine, if you want to be happy but just don’t give me the details. And wasn’t Jamie calling Nathan out on Nathan kissing his mom the most hilarious thing? We were dying laughing. Luke’s comment to Nathan about Skills nickname we saw on the promo was still funny.
Enjoyed very much something we DIDN’T see…Dan/Carrie scenes. Maybe that’s why it was so good! The only thing I did not like about that storyline was the scene with Deb and Carrie. I DO NOT buy it that Deb doesn’t know what Carrie looks like. If someone stole my grandson and they were still around, you better be sure I’d know what they looked like. Yes, maybe there was no time for pictures but come on! That was a stretch.
The dedication to Q was nice. Chad always does so well with the heartfelt speeches. I loved how the players stepped up and wanted to play a four man season. I also enjoyed seeing glimpses of Q throughout the show. But honestly, I hope we are over that. Enough sadness. And I think the scene at the end with Nathan and Skills was wonderful. Two friends silently making everything ok between them and someone coming in to fill Q’s shoes to help Nathan. I liked it. Once again, I’m very impressed with James’ acting. Just his looks and his pauses. You can feel his emotions without him saying a word. All very nice. Good job, James.
Lucas and Peyton were almost non-existent this ep and that is ok. Luke took care of his team and Peyton was dealing with a man she thought might be her father. And speaking of…is there anyone convinced that he is anyone BUT her father? Why bring him in unless he either knew something about her father or was her father? And he’s already said he didn’t know him so he must be him. I’d like to see where this goes because I’ll be shocked if he’s anything but her father.
One other note is I loved the CODA song. It was different than normal I think but good.
So I guess that’s it. Next week looks like the big Nanny Carrie showdown and THANK GOODNESS. My heart will be in my throat while Jamie is in danger but I think it’s going to be great…especially if it involves Carrie in pain! Ah yes, I feel the soap opera moments coming back!
